DormMatch is a mobile application tailored for Columbia University students, designed to facilitate interactions and conversations with individuals residing in the same dormitory building. Upon registration with a verified Barnard or Columbia email address, users can specify their dormitory and promptly initiate connections with their neighbors. This process involves swiping right to express interest, initiating conversations, and arranging in-person meetings.

To access DormMatch, users need to download the app, complete the registration process, and validate their Columbia email address. Uploading a selection of profile pictures is recommended to enable others to recognize and connect with them easily. Utilizing the swipe feature allows users to either like or skip profiles. In cases where mutual interest is established between two users, a match is created, enabling them to communicate and cultivate relationships.

Among DormMatch's key functionalities are support for both dark and light modes, compatibility with various iPhone and iPad models, push notifications for timely alerts, real-time updates to enhance user experience, the option to block or report inappropriate content from other users, and accessible customer support services.
